Lead Pastor: Jim Busscher
Pastor Jim began his work at Community Church as our interim pastor in February of 2015. In November 2016 we invited him to be our next Lead Pastor! He has served numerous Churches as Interim Pastor during their vacancies over the past 15 years. Jim grew up in western Michigan where he met his wife Brenda. Brenda is currently working in the Zeeland Public School system in Michigan. God has blessed them with 3 children. David is married to Courtney and is presently employed as a lawyer in the Michigan State Court of Appeals in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Julie is married to Jared and is presently teaching Spanish in Zeeland, Michigan. Jenna is their youngest and is attending her second year of college in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jim and his family enjoy reading, watching movies, playing cards and challenging each other in board games.
8Administrative Pastor: Barry Foster
Pastor Barry joined the staff at Community in 2009. Before coming to Community, he has served numerous ministry positions in churches and para-church ministries. Prior to coming to Community he served at Hudsonville Reformed Church and served as Executive Director for Youth Unlimited. Barry and his wife Linda grew up in northern New Jersey and have three married children and three grand children. Pastor Barry’s primary responsibilities at Community focus on administration. His interests include photography, camping, antique cars, hunting and fishing.
Kyle Vanderzee
Kyle has served as Director of Worship and the Arts at Community since 2008. He is married to Joanna. Kyle and Jo are the proud parents of two girls: Autumn and Hannah. Kyle has a passion for creating services that are Biblical, fresh, and rooted. Kyle enjoys hosting small groups, spending time on Lake Michigan, motorcycle riding, and the occasional skeet shoot.
10Dawn Kuiper
Dawn is the Connections Coordinator at CCRC. She has held this position since 2008. She loves meeting new people and helping people get connected at Community. Dawn’s background is in nursing, and she thinks it’s great how God can use her in a different type of caregiving now. Her hobbies include camping, beaches and watching movies with her husband.

Judi joined the Community Church staff in April 2016 as the Administrative Assistant. She and her husband, Al, have 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren. Judi enjoys gardening, camping, crafts and playing with the grandchildren. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays you will find her behind the desk in the church office, answering phones and keeping things around church flowing smoothly.

Lisa joined the CCRC staff in October 2016. She and her husband, Phil, have 4 children. Lisa recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and likes meeting new people. She serves as President of the Band Boosters at North Newton Jr./Sr. High School and enjoys reading, crocheting and other crafting. Lisa can be found in the church office on most Thursdays and Fridays working on the church bulletin and other usual office duties.
